Our founder, Harold Matney, was well known throughout the country for his unique design style and gift for teaching. He was instrumental in starting the Professional Floral Design school program at Emily Griffith Opportunity School where he taught part-time for twenty five years before he became incapacitatied by Alzheimer's disease. Losing Harold was a blow to not only the flower shop and his immediate family, but also to countless people whose lives he touched through his beautiful designs and by his ability to teach those design skills.
